Cemetery Rules

The Cemetery Committee maintains the right to modify the rules and regulations governing the on-going perpetual care of the cemetery as deemed necessary. The following rules were incorporated into Article VII of the Rules and Regulations section of the by-laws on October 2, 2006.

  • Each gravesite will be permitted one decorative item*:
    • plant in pot or cone, or
    • one statue, or
    • one other decoration.
      *This item must be SECURED to the headstone or base.
  • Plants, shrubs or flowers cannot be planted in the ground or placed in the ground.
  • Border trims interfere with mowing, edging and weed eating patterns and are not permitted.
  • Dead, wilted or faded flowers that are left unattended, will be removed by the maintenance staff.
  • For safety reasons articles and/or containers made of fragile or breakable materials will be removed by the maintenance staff.

  • No burial will be permitted without a concrete vault to contain remains.
  • Permission must be obtained to place any headstone or marker on a grave or niche.
  • Burials are not permitted on Sundays, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Years Day.
  • Bases for Headstones are required.
  • Cremation containers should be no
    more than 8” x 8” x 12"

The responsibility to preserve the peace, tranquility and appearance of the cemetery is taken very seriously and your assistance is truly appreciated. Headstones or monument sizes are limited as follows:

  • Single graves …… 3 feet x 3 feet including the base
  • Double graves …. .. 3 feet x 6 feet including the base
